Move!

Start where you are. Keep showing up. Cardio + strength beats excuses—every time.

Man staring at a wall of gym choices — just pick one and go.
Pick one already.

There are so many things that are necessary for good health it’s hard to pick one as the most important. They all work together—but none beats physical activity. If you’re not active (and I mean getting your heart rate up and sweating for an extended period), you’re cheating yourself and the people who care about you. Exercise! The more you do it, the easier it becomes.

Don’t be a weekend warrior. Start where you are and build. Walk, run, swim, bike, jump rope, lift weights—just move. Include cardio as frequently as you can. Try it; do it. You’ll feel so much better and, since it’s just us fellas talking, your partner will feel better too—more frequently.

“Strength training is key for maintaining strength and preventing muscle atrophy at 50-plus. It also helps with bone density, reducing the risk of fractures later in life. Cardio—like cycling, running, or swimming—helps improve cardiovascular health, boost endurance, and maintain a healthy weight. Combining both can lead to a healthier, more active lifestyle as you age.”
